<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;font-size:12pt"><DIV><P><SPAN>The Hills layer was prepared by first dissolving the entire Roads_Address layer into a single feature, then segmenting it into layers of 400' segments and 250' segments. These layers were then assigned average slope values based on overlaying them on 2014 lidar data. </SPAN></P></DIV></DIV>
The Hills layer consists of segments of roads that are on slopes. The data was prepared for use in bicycle maps to give bicyclists an idea of terrain conditions. There are two categories - moderate hills of 4-7% slope that are at least 400' feet long, and big hills that are 7%+ slope and at least 250' long.
