Purpose 
                            Island County Parcels with Associated PACS Assessor's Office Data
Supplemental Information 
                            The attribute information is a result of joining the tax parcel layer exported from the Parcel Fabric to the PACS database. PACS data is queried into a table that is joined to the Parcels shapefile with the PID as the key field.

Process Step
Process Description 
                                The parcel shapefile was exported from the Parcel Fabric. The Parcel Fabric was constructed from those polygons, lines, and points mapped initially in AutoCAD. Over a period of years, 2001-2010, the process of digitally drafting the parcels in AutoCAD utilized the legal descriptions bearing and distance measurements, then they were adjusted and verified against aerial imagery.  From AutoCAD the parcels were then migrated to the Parcel Fabric to maintain adjustment details, editor tracking, and to maintain topographical integrity. After the Parcel Fabric is updated, the Tax Parcel feature class is exported to produce the Parcels shapefile.

Distribution Liability 
                        Assessor's disclaimer - These maps were created from available public records and existing map sources, and from different surveyors and their surveys. Map features from all sources have been adjusted to achieve a ‘best fit’ registration to the Ownership parcels. While great care was taken in this process, maps from different sources rarely agree as to the precise location of geographic features. The relative positioning of map features to one another results from combining different map sources without field ‘ground truthing’.
